With Login Verification enabled, you will need both your password and a verification code sent to your phone to log in to your Snapchat account on an unverified device.
Depending on how you chose to enable Login Verification, the Verification Code would be delivered by SMS or generated by an authentication app.
You can also use your most recently generated Recovery Code to log in one time on an unverified device. You can only generate a Recovery Code while logged in to your account.
Important ⚠️ You will not be able to receive a Verification Code or Recovery Code by email.
Didn't Receive a Text?
- A verification code is sent via SMS, so you'll need a strong signal on your phone to receive the text 📲 If you're using an iPhone, you won't be able to receive a verification code via iMessage or while connected to WiFi only.
- Try restarting your phone to help reset the signal it's getting from your carrier. If that doesn't help, make sure you have enough memory on your phone to receive new messages.
- Lastly, double-check that you don't have any apps or settings enabled on your phone that might block incoming text messages 📵
- If the issue continues, you may want to contact your mobile service provider 😧
❗️ An SMS Verification Code is automatically generated and sent to the mobile number associated with the account. For security reasons, it's not possible to send a Verification Code via email or to a phone number that wasn’t previously verified on the account.
Please Note: We do not offer support for lost Recovery Codes 🚨
